GLOBAL, DISTRIBUTED & VIRTUAL WORK

My research has focused on global and distributed work from 1997 till present. I have studied several topics from: Management issues (remote management in VmStan project); expectations; coordination; communication; learning and knowledge transfer (studied in research projects ISES, KEES, Extreme Virtuality); tools used for collaboration and communication (virtual worlds are one of those: ProViWo project), and Workplaces for distributed work (in project ProWork: Productive knowledge Work and managing workplace resources in which the impact of the physical, social and the virtual (digital) workplace of distributed workers is studied on work performance and outcome).
